Affiliate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Distinguished University Professor Emeritus Jan Sengers has been elected to Fellow status in the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC).

Sengers? elevation to Fellow is in recognition of his research achievements in fluid science, academic achievements and contributions to IUPAC. He was a subcommittee member IUPAC?s Commission I.2 on Transport Properties of Fluids since 1985. He served as editor and co-editor for two IUPAC Volumes, and the co-author of five chapters in three IUPAC Volumes.
