The Clark School's first annual Alumni Cup Competition culminates this Friday, in celebration of National Engineers Week.
This engineering design competition, sponsored by the Clark School Alumni Chapter Board, pits teams of students from each department against each other in a week-long challenge to develop a machine that will perform a simple task--inflating and popping a balloon—but do so in a way that reflects the department's engineering specialty and spirit and is fun to watch.
The details of the task were announced earlier this week. The teams will present their designs Friday, Feb. 24, between 2 and 5 p.m. in the Kim Building Rotunda.
The winning team will be memorialized on the Alumni Cup trophy to be displayed in the west lobby of Glenn L. Martin Hall.
