Sophoria Westmoreland, Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student

 

Sophoria N. Westmoreland, mechanical engineering Ph.D. candidate, has been named the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Graduate Student of the Year for 2010. The Graduate Student of the Year award is part of the larger Golden Torch Awards, which "honors the best and brightest in technology," according to the NSBE website. The presentation will be made during the 36th Annual NSBE Convention in Toronto, Canada, on April 3, 2010.
