SAE International recognized Greg Schultz, mechanical engineering adjunct association professor and advisor to the UM TerpsRacing team, with its Faculty Advisor Award.

Schultz is one of 10 faculty members from universities across the country who received the award. They will be honored during the SAE 2008 World Congress in Detroit in April.

The award, according to SAE International, acknowledges faculty members who put forth outstanding commitment as advisors of SAE collegiate branches and Collegiate Design Series? teams. The award is funded by the Teetor Educational Committee through the SAE Foundation.

TerpsRacing won last year's Formula SAE West competition in California.
