Nine faculty from the department were honored at the annual "Rainmakers" Research Leaders VIII Luncheon held at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center on November 14.

The recognition is given to those who bring in top research dollars. The Luncheon, hosted by the Division of Research, recognizes university faculty who bring in at least $500,000 in research money in a single fiscal year. This year, of the 234 professors honored, over 25% were from the A. James Clark School of Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering faculty honored were Professors Davinder Anand, Avram Bar-Cohen, Amr Baz, Satyandra Gupta, Greg Jacskon, Mohammad Modarres, Reinhard Radermacher, Elisabeth Smela and Michael Zachariah. Congratulations on these outstanding achievements.
