The Sony Research Award Program offers up to $100k Faculty Innovation Awards and upto $150k Focused Research awards. Faculty Innovation Awards fund cutting-edge research in Sony's general areas of interest including IT, devices and materials, and biomedical and life science areas. The Focused Research Awards fund Sony's immediate interest areas including robotic actuator and mechanisms, wide-field visual displays, NIR-VCSELs innovations to name a few. 

The application window lasts from July 15,2022 through September 15, 2022. Expect award announcements around March of 2023.
