Distinguished University Professor Emeritus and Affiliate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Jan Sengers has been invited to give a presentation at the Centennial Conference of the The Spanish Royal Societies of Physics and Chemistry. This Conference, which will be opened by H. M. the King Juan Carlos, will take place in Madrid July 7-11, 2003. 1500 participants from different areas of Physics and Chemistry are expected to attend.

The Organizing and Scientific Committees for the Centennial extended the invitation to Dr. Sengers to give a General Talk on his field of research. Dr. Sengers' research interests include thermodynamics of fluids and fluid mixtures, transport properties of fluids and fluid mixtures, and fluctuations in nonequilibrium fluids.
