Pi Tau Sigma, the mechanical engineering honor society, held their Spring new member initiation on Tuesday, May 7th. Pictured below are these new members along with Dr. Avram Bar-Cohen, Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Not pictured is Chapter Advisor and Office of Campus Program's 2002 Outstanding Advisor for a Student Organization Award recipient Linda Schmidt.

This is a very exciting time for the Pi Tau Sigma student chapter, as they are preparing to host the National Convention on the University of Maryland campus in February of 2003.

For more information on Pi Tau Sigma and the convention, go to their website at www.engr.umd.edu/organizations/pts/
