This fall, Northrop Grumman will host seminars on basic radar design and analysis.
Based on MIT OpenCourseWare, each session will be led by experienced Northrop Grumman engineers and will feature a hands-on exercise using DemoRad desktop evaluation kits.
Participants who complete all 6 sessions will receive completion certificates.
All sessions will be held virtually via Zoom. Register here: http://mtech.umd.edu/ng/northrop-grumman-fall-2021-radar-seminar-series.html
Limited seats are available in each seminar; spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Innovation Challenge
MULTIPLE MARITIME TARGET OPTICAL TRACKING
In addition, Northrop Grumman will be hosting a student challenge: http://mtech.umd.edu/ng/challenges/northrop-grumman-mission-systems-innovation-challenge-multiple-maritime-target-optical-tracking.html
WIN a share of up to $5,000 in prizes! They will include a $2,500 first-place award, $1,500 second-place award, and a $1,000 third-place award. The challenge is open to teams of 2-4 undergraduate students. LEARN about multiple target optical tracking, including image occlusions and reflections, as well as multiple angles of a detected target. DEVELOP an application that keeps an accurate frame-by-frame catalogue of maritime vessels, and catalogues them into civilian vessel, warship, aircraft carrier, and submarine. GAIN valuable insight from Northrop Grumman engineers, who will serve as mentors throughout the challenge. NETWORK with Northrop Grumman staff.
