The Buehler Ecomet 3 is a table top variable speed grinder/polisher. The variable speed , from 10 to 510 RPM allows the operator to tailor speed to material application. This particular model uses a 1Hp motor, and an 8” diameter sanding wheel. |
The Buehler Diamond Blade uses a 0.03” thick cutting end, designed for precision sectioning of carbide materials. |

The Buehler Pneumet mounting press is used to prepare specimens for the microscope. By adding a specimen surrounded by resin inside the chamber, the combination of hydraulic pressure and heat encases the material inside a clear cylinder. Once cooled and polished the material is ready for data analysis under a microscope. |
The Carver press is capable of exerting up to 24,000 lbs. |

The Louis Small is a press capable of exerting up to 250,000 lbs. |
The fume hood, necessary to mix certain chemicals together for material production, uses a standard water supply and a central blower. The fume hood capacity volume is 4’ by 3’ by 2’. |
